Editing sound is not something which can be done easily with standard Windows features. If you have a good idea for a new sound mix or you simply want an interesting ringtone, a third party software is what you need. With AEP Audio Clip Mixer, you can use multiple sound tracks, in different formats, to create a single audio file. The process is very simple, thanks to the application's user friendly interface. Even if you do not posses advanced knowledge, you can still use AEP Audio Clip Mixer without any difficulties.

The setup wizard will guide you with clear and easy to understand instructions. After selecting a destination path and a folder in the Start menu, you will have to wait a few seconds, until the installation process is complete. Audio codecs or plug-ins are not required, so you can start using the program immediately.

You can add your audio tracks directly on the interface by dragging and dropping the files or with the software's browsing option. They will be placed on separate channels automatically. The loaded tracks are illustrated as colored bars, on which you can see their titles and duration. You can move them, left or right, by clicking and dragging them with your mouse cursor. If you right click a track, you will find options for aligning it with your position in the timeline or aligning your position with that track. Cut, copy, paste and delete options can be found on a toolbar, making it possible to copy or move sound tracks to different channels.

To prevent moving a track by accident, you can lock them into place by clicking the Lock icon, on the left side of the interface, where you will find other options as well. AEP Audio Clip Mixer lets you set different volume levels for individual tracks and mute or play them separately. Recording sound with a microphone is supported as well. You only need to click a button to start recording and click it again to stop. When you are done, the recording will be inserted automatically, in its own channel.

The Play/Pause and Stop buttons, as well as the volume control and zoom options are located in the lower left corner of the interface. If the project sounds right, you can export it as MP3, WAV, WMA or OGG files by clicking the Mix option on the toolbar. The process will not take long and when it is done, a new window will appear on the screen, where you may listen to your project one more time and save it.

Pros

The interface is very simple and it is not loaded with too many options. You can load multiple tracks in one run and play them or change their volume separately. The project can be exported fast, in various audio formats.

Cons

It is not possible to slice audio tracks or change their lengths. AEP Audio Clip Mixer allows you to mix any number of audio files, in different formats, without any effort. Everything you need can be found on the same window, so there is no need to navigate through vast menus, with complex options.
